By design, spinning reels inherently have a slight time lag in their initial retrieve and power input under load, and in casting, retrieving, luring, and hooking, there is an almost imperceptible gap in every action, a difference so small that many anglers might not even notice it, yet what if that tiny delay is costing them the one chance to land a fish? That was the challenge we set out to overcome.

During the development of DURIZE, our field staff had one clear goal: to eliminate that “slight gap,” refining the smoothness of the initial turn, achieving powerful and unwavering retrieval, enhancing high-precision rotor balance for next-level rotation, perfecting a drag system that seamlessly balances endurance and instant response, and ensuring the ability to maintain optimal performance over long-term use, all while building on the high-performance foundation of tailwalk’s spinning reels and bridging the refined sensations that serious anglers demand. When we pursued this essence to its core, we arrived at the foundation of it all—the body itself.

At the heart of DURIZE lies a die-cast aluminum mainframe, engineered to maintain rigid strength while eliminating unnecessary weight, and this metal frame structure provides a lightweight design that enhances sensitivity through resonance, powerful torque transmission for superior reeling performance, and absolute stability by eliminating flex and instability caused by reel weight, ensuring that every vibration, from the reel foot to the continuous shakes and precise casts, is transmitted seamlessly. By eliminating unnecessary flex and movement, DURIZE allows the reel to integrate perfectly with the rod, closing that crucial gap in sensation and bringing the angler’s intent directly into action.

At the core of the reel, the drive gear is crafted from extra super duralumin with machine-cut precision, demanding the highest level of engineering to ensure a robust body structure that guarantees long-term durability while maintaining optimal gear performance and smoothness over time. The rotor balance has been refined to the extreme, working in tandem with a ceramic line roller to minimize trouble even when using ultra-thin PE lines or rigid fluorocarbon, while the main shaft and handle, the backbone of the reel, are also crafted from extra super duralumin, providing a smooth, lightweight, yet torque-rich reeling experience. Inherited from SPEAKY, the drag system is designed with a gradual adjustment range, utilizing the Keep-Range Drag System, which allows anglers to fully optimize the most frequently used drag range.
